Events in a Conversation
When a group decides to do something, you can turn that decision into an event without leaving the chat. The event appears as a card in the conversation, and members RSVP by tapping it.
Not the same as the Events module
An event created here belongs to the conversation. For church-wide events with registration and check-in, use the Events module.
Creating one
- In a group conversation, tap + beside the message box.
- Choose the event option.
- Fill in the details below.
- Save — the card posts into the conversation.
What you can set
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | What members will see on the card |
| Starts / Ends | Date and time |
| All day | Hides the times for things like a weekend trip |
| Description | Anything members need to know — what to bring, where to meet |
| RSVP deadline | The point after which replies close |
| 1st reminder | A nudge sent ahead of the event |
| 2nd reminder | A second nudge, usually closer to the day |
| Cover image | An optional picture at the top of the card |
RSVPs
The card shows a running count — 1 going. Members tap to add or change their response up until the RSVP deadline.
You can Edit the event or Remove it afterwards; both options sit on the card itself for whoever created it.
