My Schedule Overview

Overview

The My Schedule module allows you to view your personal volunteer assignments in one place.

It provides a quick list of your upcoming serving dates and responsibilities.

The two sections

The screen has two parts:

  • My Availability — your blackout dates
  • Upcoming Assignments — what you're scheduled to serve

What you can do with an assignment

Each upcoming assignment offers three actions:

ActionWhat it does
AcceptConfirms you'll be there
Request SubTells the schedule administrator you need someone to cover this date
CancelWithdraws from the assignment

Request Sub is the one to use when you can't make a date that's already on the schedule. Blackout dates only affect future scheduling — they don't touch an assignment you already have.

How It Works

Your schedule is automatically created by church administrators using the Volunteer Scheduling system.
Any assignments made for you will appear here.

If changes are made to the schedule, your list will update accordingly.

Blackout Dates

Blackout dates allow you to mark days when you are unavailable to serve (for example: vacations, work travel, or personal time).

When a blackout date is added, the scheduling system will avoid placing you on future schedules for those days.

Adding a Blackout Date

  1. Open the My Schedule module
  2. Tap the Blackout Dates or Availability option
  3. Select the date (or date range) you will be unavailable
  4. Add a Reason if you want to — it's optional
  5. Save

You'll see Blackout dates saved. Removing one asks Remove blackout dates? first, then confirms Blackout dates removed.

Church administrators will automatically see your availability when creating future schedules.

Note: Blackout dates prevent future assignments.
They do not automatically remove you from assignments that already exist.
If you are already scheduled, you should request a substitute.

Important Notes

  • Only your own assignments are visible in My Schedule.
  • To view the full volunteer schedule, use the Volunteer Schedule module (if enabled).
  • Confirmations and substitute requests are sent to the schedule administrators.
  • Blackout dates are respected when new schedules are generated.
