Admin Permissions Overview
The Admin Permissions module controls who can access and manage features in ChurchNET. By assigning permission levels, church leadership can ensure the right people have access to the tools they need — without exposing sensitive settings to everyone.
Permission Levels
ChurchNET has two levels of administrative access:
App Admin
An App Admin has full administrative access to every module and system setting in ChurchNET.
App Admins can:
- Access and manage all modules
- Edit church information and system settings
- Manage other users' permissions
- Send mass communications
- View all reports and dashboards
This role should be reserved for trusted leadership such as ministers, office staff, or designated administrators.
Module Admin
A Module Admin has admin access to specific modules only. This allows churches to delegate responsibility without granting full system access.
For example, a volunteer coordinator could be given admin access to only the Volunteer Schedule module, while a communications team member might only need access to Mass Communication.
Module Admins can:
- Access and manage their assigned modules
- Perform all admin actions within those modules
- Hold permissions for multiple modules at once
Module Admins cannot:
- Access modules they are not assigned to
- Change system-wide settings
- Manage other users' permissions
Regular Members
Regular members (users without any admin permissions) can view modules that have been added to their home screen, but they cannot access admin-only features or manage settings within those modules.
Where to Find Admin Permissions
You can access the Admin Permissions screen from:
- The Admin Hub on the home screen
- The Admin Permissions tile (if added to your home screen)
Note: Only App Admins can open the Admin Permissions screen and manage other users' permissions.
