Select Volunteers
After creating jobs, you will choose which members are eligible to serve in each position.
Only the volunteers you select will be considered when the schedule is generated.
This allows you to limit roles to trained or approved individuals.
Assigning Volunteers to a Job
- Open the Volunteer Schedule module
- Tap the Admin button
- Select Select Volunteers
- Choose the event
- Choose the job
- Select the volunteers who are allowed to serve in that role
- Save
You can assign as many volunteers as you want to a job.
ChurchNET will rotate between them when creating schedules.
Teams
You can also create Teams.
A team allows multiple people to always be scheduled together.
When one person in the team is scheduled, the others are automatically scheduled with them.
Example Uses
- Spouses serving together
- Nursery partners
- Security partners
- A teacher and helper
- Youth ministry leaders
This prevents situations where one person is scheduled without their usual partner.
How Teams Work
- The scheduling system treats a team as one unit
- If the team is selected, all members of the team are placed on the schedule
- Teams respect job requirements (such as number of volunteers and eligibility)
Important Notes
- Only selected volunteers can be scheduled for a job
- You can update volunteers at any time
- Changes will apply to future schedules (not already published schedules)
