Assigning & Tracking
Two ways to assign
By volunteer role. Attach the training to one or more volunteer roles, and everyone serving in those roles is assigned it. This is the option to reach for: when a new person joins the nursery rotation, they pick up the nursery training without anyone remembering to do it.
By individual. Use Assign to User to add someone directly. Useful for one-offs and for people who don't sit in a volunteer role.
Assignments record which way they were made, so you can tell a role-based assignment from a manual one.
You'll see User assigned when it's added, and Assign More to keep going.
The completion dashboard
Each training shows its progress as a simple count — 3 / 12 completed — with its type underneath.
Open it to see the individual assignments. A training nobody has been assigned yet shows No assignments yet.
Someone who has finished is marked Assigned in the list with their completion recorded.
Chasing the stragglers
The dashboard tells you who hasn't finished; it doesn't chase them for you. Once you know who's outstanding, the quickest nudge is usually a Messaging group, or a targeted text from Communication.
A due date three days out from a Sunday is a due date people will miss. Give volunteers a couple of weekends.
