For Administrators

Creating the year

Nothing else works until a year exists. On a church that's never used the module, the screen offers Create your first L2L year.

Choose New L2L year, enter the Year (4 digits), and tap Create.

Each year carries a Status, so you can tell an open year from a finished one at a glance.

Set the year up before you announce sign-ups

Parents who open the module before the year exists are told This year is not configured yet. Talk to your admin. Build the year and its activities first, then tell families it's open.

Activities and coaches

Add the Activities your congregation is participating in this year. Parents choose from this list when enrolling, so a missing activity means children can't sign up for it.

For each activity, open Coaches for {activity} to assign the adults leading it. Search for the member and Save. If a search comes back empty you'll see No matches.

Roster, Summary, Export

Three tools sit on the Year Setup screen:

ToolWhat it gives you
RosterEvery enrolled child for the year, with their activities
SummaryTotals across the year — amounts owed and paid, and counts of paid, partial, and unpaid families
ExportThe year's data pulled out for use outside the app

Summary is the one to check before a deadline: it tells you how much is still outstanding and how many families that represents, without opening records one at a time.

Export is what you want when the national program asks for registration details, or when you need the roster in a spreadsheet.

Recording payments

Payment amounts and statuses shown to parents come from the records administrators maintain. Keeping them current is what makes the Summary trustworthy — and it's what stops parents asking whether their check arrived.
