Giving Setup
For administrators. This is where you connect Stripe and decide what members can give toward.
Connecting Stripe
Contributions are processed by Stripe, so your church needs a Stripe account connected before the Giving module will take anything.
The Stripe Dashboard link on the Giving Setup screen takes you to Stripe itself, where payouts, fees, and settlement are handled. ChurchNET doesn't hold your money — Stripe pays it into your church's bank account.
Funds
A fund is what a member is giving toward. Most churches start with a general contribution and add others as needed — Benevolence, Building, Missions, Youth.
To add one:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Fund Name | What members see when choosing where their gift goes |
| Description | Optional. Useful for anything not self-explanatory. |
| Sort Order | Controls the order funds appear in. Put your general fund first. |
Tap Save.
Editing and retiring funds
Each fund has Edit and Deactivate options.
Deactivating asks Deactivate "{name}"? It will no longer appear in the giving screen. — the fund stops being offered to members, but the giving already recorded against it stays intact.
That's why there's no delete: removing a fund outright would orphan the history of everything given to it.
Seeing what's come in
Giving Setup shows totals By Fund, so you can see at a glance how contributions are split.
For anything more detailed — payouts, refunds, disputes, fees — use the Stripe Dashboard.
