Module Permissions
Module Permissions provide granular, per-module admin access. Instead of granting a user full App Admin rights, you can assign admin access to only the specific modules they need.
How Module Permissions Work
- Each module can be individually toggled on or off for a user
- A user can hold admin permissions for multiple modules at once
- Module Admins can perform all admin actions within their assigned modules
- Users without a module permission can still view that module if it is on their home screen, but they cannot access admin features within it
Note: Module Admin (can manage) is different from Module Access (can view). A regular member may see a module on their home screen without having admin rights to manage it.
Grantable Modules
The following 13 modules can be individually assigned to Module Admins:
1. Directory
Manage member and family records, edit profiles, and add or remove members from the church directory.
2. Events
Create and manage church events, edit event details, and control event registration.
3. Attendance
Record and view attendance for services and events, and access attendance reports.
4. Church Info
Edit church details and settings such as church name, address, service times, and contact information.
5. Leadership
Manage leadership roles and assignments within the church.
6. Volunteer Schedule
Create and manage volunteer schedules, assign volunteers to positions, and generate serving rotations.
7. Prayer Request
Manage prayer requests submitted by members, including reviewing, updating, and organizing requests.
8. Mass Communication
Send SMS messages, emails, and audio calls to church members individually or in bulk.
9. Video
Manage video content within the app, including uploading and organizing videos.
10. Communication
Manage communication features including messaging, groups, and conversation history.
11. Guest Management
Track and follow up with first-time and returning guests, assign follow-up tasks, and manage the guest workflow.
12. Streams
Manage live stream configurations and access within the app.
13. Training
Create and manage training courses, quizzes, and track member completion progress.
Home Screen Visibility
Admin-only modules will only appear on a user's home screen if they have the corresponding module permission (or are an App Admin). Regular members will not see admin-only modules in their available tiles.
Modules that are available to all members (such as Prayer Request for submitting requests, or the Calendar for viewing events) remain visible regardless of admin permissions.
Multiple Module Permissions
A user can hold admin permissions for any combination of modules. For example, a staff member could be given admin access to Directory, Attendance, and Guest Management without having access to Mass Communication or system settings.
This flexibility allows churches to distribute administrative responsibility across their team while maintaining appropriate access controls.
