Managing Requests
Administrators control who hears about a prayer request and how quickly.
Prayer Request Settings
Open Prayer Request Settings to configure the module.
Prayer Request in: Attendance
A single switch — Enable prayer requests in the attendance module.
Turn it on and prayer requests can be recorded while attendance is being taken. This is how most churches capture the paper cards that come down the pew: whoever is entering attendance enters the requests at the same time, and they land in the same place as requests submitted from the app.
Notification Recipients
Choose the church members who should be notified when a new request arrives.
- Tap Add Recipient.
- Use Search members to find the person.
- Choose how to reach them — Email, SMS, or both.
- Save.
You must pick a member and at least one delivery method, or you'll see Please select at least one notification method (SMS or Email).
Recipients appear in a list; removing one reports Recipient removed.
With one recipient, a request waits until that person next opens their phone. Naming two or three means an urgent request reaches somebody quickly.
The ministry view
Prayer Requests (Ministry) shows submitted requests to those responsible for responding. Before any have come in it reads No prayer requests have been submitted yet.
This screen also holds the Email address that prayer requests are sent to — for example minister@example.com. Enter it and choose Save email; you'll see Prayer request email saved.
Changing that address requires admin rights. Without them you'll see You need admin permissions to update the email address.
