Bookmark

Bookmark is a second link tile, for any web address your congregation uses often that isn't your main website.

It works exactly like Church Website: tapping it opens the address in the browser. The difference is only that you get two, so you aren't forced to choose.

What churches use it for​

  • An online giving page hosted elsewhere
  • A sign-up form for a camp or retreat
  • The church's YouTube channel or podcast feed
  • A bulletin or newsletter hosted on another service

Setting the address​

Only App Admins can configure it.

  1. Open Module Management.
  2. Find the Bookmark module.
  3. Enter the URL you want it to open.
  4. Save.

The tile's URL is configured in Edit mode, the same way the Church Website link is.

Rename the tile to say where it goes

A tile labeled "Bookmark" tells members nothing. If it points at your giving page, label it so — members shouldn't have to tap an unknown link to find out where it leads.

Important notes​

  • ChurchNET doesn't host or edit whatever you link to.
  • If the address changes, an App Admin has to update it here.
  • The link opens in the browser, not inside the app.
